  • Hello,

I think the turntable and the motor unit are to heavy to '' kip ''

I think die faden will slip al little bit before something will '' kip ''

IF something will '' kip '' during start up when there is '' force '' needed it will go back to its normal position when the teller is turning at the right speed.

What i did do with my diy motordose is trying to lower the center of gravity as much as possible. Part of the motordose is under die teller so in that '' area '' center of gravity is moved down.

The motor itself, pulley and kupfer mounting plate ate totally maximum 450 gram and the space below is filled with bleikugeln that are covered with 1 cm foam.

On the left side of the motorgehause there are 3 deep round holes filled with blei and closed with foam,

I will probably use a product called ''grungebuster '' i have 1 and 3 mm thickness between motordose und basisplatte.

I cannot imagine my motordose will '' kip ''

    Greetings, Eduard

  • Hello Reinhold,

    GANZ wichtig.

I did use a M6 or M8 bolzen on my old kitchen table and then search the center of gravity by letting the plus 40 kilo weight balance on that small surface., Then i made a circle on my German Trumpf machine with one center hole and 3 holes to indicate the exact position of the 3 dampfer..

Like you can read in the French writings it is a good idea to have the center of gravity close to the teller achse.

As you can see in the photo i had to adjust the quantity of bleikugeln in my diy basisplatte because after montage from Scheu basisplatte und tonarm the center of gravity will move in direction of the tonarmbase.

Of course like Reinhold wrote ( i wrote it too some time ago) die belastung jeder dampfer soll gleich sein. And you should use the right one.

It can never be possible that a 7 kilo motordose will use the same ones as the turntable itself. If you visit the Taica or any other professional site that sells these parts you will see they have different specifications. If you have a Miele washing machine used in a hospital that can wash 15 kilo at once it will not have the same dampfer as a 60 kilo turntable.

    Greetings, Eduard

P.s my Trumpf machine weighs 12000 kilo it uses luchtdampfer and the pressure is prescribed.with exact number it cannot be to low but also cannot be to high

  • Hello,

Probably die riemenspanning will sich andern during start up.

Verdier decided to go for just enough spannung to keep the teller moving at the right speed with a BIG help of drehmoment.

So you have the adjust die federfuse to that situation if possible.

BUT if you use the RIGHT ones they will react themselves!

Like my Trumpf if i make a 5 mm or 60 mm loch in 2 mm edelstahl the dampfer will work.

  • Hello,

In 1979 Verdier already explained that he wants to keep the resonanze die basisplatte at a totally different frequency than the eigenresonanz from tonarm/tonabnemer combination.

  • hallo

so dass KEINE vertikale Last aufkommt...

  • Hello,

    Basismaterial strumpfhose Marlene Dietrich!

I guess EVERYONE has to try themselves. If you use a platform that weighs around a thousand kilo PV will sound different than with the things usually chosen.

It could well be that with a cotton faden you should use less or more than with a faden made by BASF.
